MOLD DETECTION AND SAMPLING

We generally encounter MOLD on a daily basis, particularly in the damp New England climate.

Mold grows on plants, grass, trees, etc., outdoors. We can watch the evening news to get a report on pollen and mold spore density as part of our weather reports. We’ve been conditioned to refer to that time of year as ‘Allergy Season’. Mold gets carried indoors on shoes, pets, children, playing in the yard, and so on.

Recently, the Medical Community is reporting on and, is notably concerned with mold.

They are aware of and more concerned with indoor mold in homes and buildings.

MOLD should not be growing on indoor surfaces.

There are three types, or classifications, of mold; Allergenic, Pathogenic and, Toxic.

Unfortunately, when mold begins growing indoors, the occupants may suffer ill health.

Indoor environments are meant to be dry. Mold requires a constant source of moisture and a food source to thrive. Molds, most typically those that are indoors, feed and grow on woody, cellulose materials such as framing, drywall, wallpaper, flooring and roof decking as well as other parts of the home and indoor plants.

While it is important to note that not all molds are dangerously toxic, they could in fact be a problem for anyone sensitive to them. Many of the molds found do have the potential to become toxic when left untreated and unresolved! All molds should be removed with the proper treatments by the appropriate professionals. Mold must be treated with an application of the proper antimicrobial or antifungal solutions which may be both dangerous and delicate to use and apply.

There is much information on treating mold and getting rid of problems causing it.

We’re sure you’ll have questions…we can answer your questions.

While we can not list here the hundreds of both visible and airborne molds, we can test and recommend the proper professionals and/or treatment needed. It is important to know, if you have extensive mold presence, toxic or not, it may have adverse affects on your health and quality of life while living with live spores.

SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS OR WANT TO DISCUSS A MOLD TYPE, FEEL FREE TO CALL, WHETHER OR NOT YOU USE OUR SERVICES, WE WILL BE GLAD TO HELP YOU. IF GIVEN THE OPTION, AND VISIBLE MOLD IS PRESENT, DO AN AIRBORNE TEST AS IT IS IN YOUR BEST INTEREST AND THE BEST INTEREST OF YOUR FAMILY AND PETS.
